Un bout d’histoire aspetoise - No 25. Le Burger des Pyrénées

N'est-ce pas formidable d'avoir un bon hamburger à Aspet !
Jusqu'à il y a environ deux ans, Fabrice et Sara avaient un magasin à St Gaudens et un food truck qui approvisionnait en hamburgers et en frites plusieurs villages de la région. Ils ont toujours aimé Aspet et son ambiance et ont fait le grand saut en octobre dernier pour tout concentrer sur leur restaurant Le Burger des Pyrénées.
Ils sont approvisionnés en excellente viande par le boucher Labbé, situé à côté, et en pain par Le Fournil d'Aspet, un aspect important de leurs valeurs fondamentales d'appartenance et de soutien à un village.
Outre les classiques, il y a un grand choix d'autres burgers, dont le Rossini, plutôt spécial et tellement français ! Il y a aussi un nouveau burger introduit à chaque saison, des paninis, un choix végétarien et un menu pour enfants. Et si vous cherchez quelque chose de plus léger, il n'y a rien de plus agréable que de déguster une planchette style tapas.
Le restaurant est vraiment charmant et décoré de façon appropriée, rappelant un salon Western. Ils espèrent qu'à l'avenir, quand il fera plus chaud, ils pourront s'étendre sur la petite terrasse devant, ce qui donnera encore plus de vie au centre du village.
Fabrice et Sara ont eu le courage d'ouvrir leur restaurant en octobre. Comme tant d'autres entreprises d'Aspet, ils ont vraiment besoin de tout le soutien que nous pouvons leur apporter jusqu'à ce que la vie reprenne son cours. Vous ne serez pas déçus.
En temps normal, Le Burger des Pyrénées est ouvert à l'heure du déjeuner et le soir, du mardi au samedi. Malheureusement, en raison des restrictions de Covid, il est actuellement ouvert de 11h à 14h, du mardi au dimanche, uniquement pour les plats à emporter.

Isn’t it amazing to have a good burger joint in Aspet!
Fabrice and Sara used to have a shop in St Gaudens and food truck providing various villages in the area with burgers and chips until about two years ago. They had always liked Aspet and its ambience and took the brave plunge last October to concentrate everything on their restaurant Le Burger des Pyrénées.
They are supplied with excellent meat from the butcher Labbé next door and with bread from Le Fournil d’Aspet, an important aspect of their core values to belonging to and supporting a village.
Apart from the classics, there is a wide choice of others including the rather special (and very French) Rossini! There is also a new burger introduced each season, paninis, a vegetarian choice and a children’s menu. And if you’re looking for something lighter, there is nothing nicer than lingering over the tapas-style ‘planchette’.
The restaurant is really lovely and appropriately decorated, reminiscent of a Western saloon. They hope that, come warmer days, they will be able to expand on to the little terrace in front, adding yet more life to the village centre.
Fabrice and Sara were courageous to have opened their restaurant in October. They, like so many other businesses in Aspet, really need all the support we can given them until life picks up again. You won’t be disappointed.
In normal times, Le Burger des Pyrénées is open at lunch time and in the evening, from Tuesday to Saturday. Sadly, at the moment because of Covid restrictions, it is open from 11h to 14h, Tuesday to Sunday, takeaway only.
