We look forward to welcoming you to Le Grand Chalet and ensuring that your every moment here is truly enjoyable. To enable this, please be aware that when you make your booking you are entering into an agreement with us. Please read our terms and conditions of booking below.
Arrival and Departure
Check in is available from 16:00 to 19.00 on the day of arrival. Only under exceptional circumstances at our entire discretion may guests arrive before 16.00. If you arrive or plan to arrive after 19.00, you must inform us in advance to avoid cancellation of your room.
Rooms must be vacated by 10.30 on the morning of departure.
Reservations and Cancellation by the Guest
Please note the cancellation policy before committing to a reservation.
Le Grand Chalet accepts payment by card (Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, American Express and V Pay, in partnership with with sumup), by BACS transfer, by cheque drawn on a French bank and by cash. A 30% deposit is kindly requested when making your reservation and must arrive in our account the day before arrival; we are not responsible for delays in transfers, however caused.
We are a small business, so cancellations can have a big impact on us, particularly if we have turned away potential guests in favour of someone who has already booked and who then cancels. We do, however, appreciate that unforeseen circumstances can intervene and we try to be as sympathetic and helpful as possible in such cases.
In the event of a cancellation up to 4 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival no charge will be made.
If you cancel your reservation within 4 days of the scheduled date of arrival a cancellation charge equivalent to the room(s) single night rate will be made.
Guests not arriving will be responsible for a charge equivalent to the total reservation price.
In the case of cancellation or non-arrival, guests are reminded that no exceptions to the above conditions will be made and that any booking made with Le Grand Chalet for either accommodation or meals that have been pre-booked (verbal or written) forms a legally binding contract. For this reason we advise that you take out suitable insurance to cover against unexpected costs such as cancellation fees.
Cancellation by Us
Should it become necessary for us to cancel a booking we will contact you immediately. Any payments made will be refunded in full. Should you wish, we will attempt to book you into another local bed and breakfast of a similar standard. Should this establishment be more expensive than Le Grand Chalet, we will pay the difference for the first night of your stay. Our liability will not extend beyond these conditions.
Car parking is as available for guests at the side of the road. Cars are parked here at the owners' risk.
Damage and Breakages
Please take care of our home. You are responsible and liable for any breakages or damages which you cause to the accommodation or its contents. Please report these as soon as they occur especially if you accidentally spill something – it’s much easier to clean if we know what it is and act quickly. We do not normally charge for breakages, but we reserve the right to charge for repair or making good if the damage is non-accidental.
We do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves.
Some of the data gathered during the course of a booking may be held on computer. We would like to hold this data after your visit to be able to inform you of future offers. If you would prefer us not to hold this information, please let us know. Guest details are never passed to third parties.
Evening Meal Reservations
We offer guests a three-course cooked evening meal as a pre-booked option, at extra cost. Please telephone or email in advance to book an evening meal and notify us of any special dietary requirements. We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice. Without pre-ordering, we will unfortunately not be able to provide a meal on the day of arrival.
As evening meals are purchased for and prepared, if an order is placed and cancelled after 12 noon on the day of dining or not taken for any reason, the full cost of the meal will remain payable.
The kitchen is not insured for guests. We would therefore kindly ask you to refrain from entering the kitchen at all times.
Pool opening hours are from 9.00 to 19.30. After bathing, please dry off before entering the house.
Children remain under their parents'/guardians' sole responsibility and must be watched at all times.
The swimming pool may need to be closed periodically for maintenance and repair.
Upon arrival and registration, you will be give a set of house and room keys. You have full responsibility for these keys for the duration of your stay. Lost keys will be charged at €10 per set.
We offer a laundry service at €10 per load.
We are happy to return items that have been left following departure. However, there will be a minimum charge of 5 euros to cover postage and packaging.
Pets are not permitted at Le Grand Chalet. Well-behaved assistance dogs are welcome.
We reserve the right to change our prices at any time. This does not affect bookings already made.
Smoking is not permitted within the house but those who wish to smoke may use the terrace, ground floor balcony and the garden.
Le Grand Chalet reserves the right, at its discretion, to terminate, without notice, an individual's stay where deemed necessary through unreasonable behaviour or as a result of actions which are likely to endanger or offend others.
All published rates are inclusive of VAT at the current rate.
By using our WiFi Service you automatically agree to the terms and conditions of use in force at the time.
